How is abrasion resistant steel plate made? steel plate

When steel rubs against each other for a period of time, abrasion occurs. There are two types of abrasion: one is intentional abrasion and the other is unintentional abrasion. Intentional abrasion such as sanding, grinding, sandblasting, etc., is a kind of abrasion made deliberately based on needs. However, unintentional abrasion can cause damage and other conditions. Therefore, it is important to use appropriate materials to ensure that the abrasion on the steel surface will not cause damage to the parts.

In the market, there are several steels specially made to prevent abrasion, which are called abrasion resistant steel plate. Similar to other types of steel, abrasion resistant steel plate is made of iron ore, carbon and other alloying elements. Iron ore is melted in a blast furnace to remove possible undesirable substances in the ore, and then carbon and other alloying elements such as chromium and manganese are added. The addition of these alloying elements can make the steel less prone to abrasion. In addition, alloying elements that prevent oxidation will also be added to the molten pool. After the above steps are completed, the molten abrasion resistant steel plate is formed, heat-treated, and cut, the wear-resistant steel is made.
