A588 Grade A steel section vs A36 section steel plate

A588 Grade A steel section is different from A36 section from the following four aspects:
ASTM A588 Grade A steel is a high strength low-alloy structural steel, while A36 steel is just carbon steel.
Due to the difference in chemical content, A588 Grade A steel section has more applications than mild A36 section.
A588 Grade A steel section iron is ideal for corrosive environments without further surface treatment which reduces cost effectively.
A588 Grade A steel section has higher yield strength point than A36 section, which allows for light weight for the same condition.

A588 Grade A steel section advantages:

Containing small amount of chromium, copper & nickel.
Lower weight/strength ratio.
3. Resistant to atmosphere corrosion.
4. Ideal for high strength and weather-exposed applications
5. Alloy amount can be ordered for unique purpose.
6. Cost less in the long term.
