Welding of c276 Hastelloy material steel plate

The welding performance of c276 Hastelloy is similar to austenitic stainless steel in many aspects, and it is usually welded by SMAW or TIG welding. Welding materials usually use welding wire AWS A5.14 ERNiCrMo-4, welding rod AWS A5.11 E NiCrMo-4. Pay attention to the following points when welding:
 
Attention points for welding of c276 Hastelloy material
1. Before welding, welding procedure qualification should be done, and product welding test plate should be prepared for each container.
 2. The production site of the facility should be separated from other materials, and the Hastelloy material parts should be placed separately, not mixed with carbon steel materials and parts. C276 Hastelloy facilities form rust spots, which are usually caused by embedded iron. Therefore, in order to avoid corrosion, the facility production site should be separated from other materials.
3. The shear hardened layer should be removed before welding, and the hardened layer can be removed by hand polishing or edge-planing machining. The root weld bead should be a convex weld bead and flame cutting is not allowed, and plasma punching and cutting should be used.
4. When nickel alloy is well welded, cleanliness is very important. Various impurities, such as grease, rust, lead, sulfur and other low melting point elements will cause serious cracks.
