What is the Difference Between Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel? steel plate

  Stainless steel and carbon steel are the most common materials we see in steel wire.Of course, we can choose different steel materials according to different needs. During the use process,

  Many people don't know what is the difference between stainless steel and carbon steel? According to the summary, China Standard Parts Network tells you what is the difference between stainless steel and carbon steel.

  What are the differences between stainless steel and carbon steel? Depending on the use and performance effect, there are usually the following differences:

  1.Stainless steel has lower thermal conductivity than ordinary low-carbon steel and lower elongation, so the required deformation force is large;

  2. Compared with carbon steel, stainless steel plate has a strong tendency to rebound when bending;

  3.Compared with carbon steel, due to the low elongation of stainless steel plate, the bending angle R of the workpiece during bending is greater than carbon steel, otherwise there may be cracks;

  4. Due to the high hardness of stainless steel plate and the significant effect of cold hardening, when selecting a bending tool, a tool steel with a heat treatment hardness of more than 60HRC should be selected. Its surface roughness is an order of magnitude higher than that of carbon steel.
