Differences between 10# steel and q235 steel steel plate

What are the differences between 10# steel and q235 steel?
First of all, the main purpose is different. Q235 steel is general structural steel, which belongs to engineering project steel, mainly used as steel prefabricated components, such as angle iron, round steel, I-shaped steel, thick steel plate, etc. 10# steel is high-quality carbon steel, which belongs to steel for mechanical equipment, mainly used as mechanical parts, such as shaft parts, transmission gears, high-strength bolts, etc.

Secondly, the steel model shows different ways. Q235 steel grade shows the physical properties of steel-compressive strength (tensile strength is not lower than 235MPa). 10# steel indicates the composition of the steel (the carbon content of steel ranges from 0.07% to 0.13).

Finally, the characteristics of steel are also different. Q235 belongs to medium carbon steel, which has high plastic deformation, but low compressive strength. It is suitable for drawing and rolling processing, such as making aluminum profiles and plates. 10# steel belongs to medium carbon steel, which can be solved by heat treatment. After quenching and tempering treatment, its compressive strength and strength are high, so it is suitable for the manufacture of mechanical parts to specify places with large support and good wear resistance.
