EN 10028-2 16MO3 steel plate is a pressure vessel EN10028-2 specified grade chrome molybdenum steel alloy for use at elevated operating temperatures. Of the materials used in the manufacture of industrial boilers and in the oil, natural gas and chemical industry in the stainless steel pressure vessel welded steel.

EN 10028-2 16Mo3 steel is a pressure vessel steel that is used in applications with elevated temperatures according to EN 10028–2. It has improved mechanical properties and better creep resistance allowing it to be used up to 500°C. This makes it ideal for a wide range of uses where the plates will have to perform at a high temperature continuously.
The material is used as a weldable steel in the fabrication of industrial boilers and steel pressurised vessels found in the oil, gas and chemical industry. Due to the materials chrome and molybdenum content, 16Mo3 has excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistant characteristics.
EN 10028-2 16Mo3 Steel is mainly used for boilers and pressure vessels with elevated temperatures according to EN 10028–2 (2003). It is equivalent to 15D3 (AFNOR 36206 ) and UNI5869 16Mo3 16Mo3 with Molybdenum alloy steel plates which is mainly used for constructing pressure vessels and boilers. The delivery condition of this grade shall be Normalized.16Mo3 is a chrome molybdenum based steel which has excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistant characteristics
